Google Glasses-technology just above your eyes

Committed to the world of smart gadgets Google has come up with the new smart spectacles called Google Glasses, an exceptional creation by the Google X lab. Google glasses are adaptable with the physical world in its sustaining posture. Google Glasses are a wearable smart computer and augment version of reality with head seated or mounted display. Its resemblance is to the ordinary pair of glasses in which frame of glasses is full of smart professional instruments and has some segment and a battery attached .All the operations, activities and crucifixions are carried via voice controlled commands with the help of microprocessor which is ingrained within the glasses with a speaker and two microphone. Furthermore, to record videos and to capture images it has a camera at one end of glasses and a digital display at the other eye.

Its qualification is to access some Google application such as Google maps, Google now, Google news etc. and these applications are allied from any network through the data castling media such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and via a smart phone in 3G or 4G.The Glasses reads and drifts data and information and then stores in the cloud. Apart from these, the glasses are provided with gyroscope*, accelerometer* and compass. For reception of data a Wi-Fi antenna is being used and in the future same is expected with cellular antenna. The Glasses are able to record the video with 720p HD and a recording indicator is mounted on the frame which stays just above the wearer’s eye and is unnoticeable. The Glass records the wearer’s conversation and responds to the voice command, touch pad (outside the earpiece), finger taps and capture the image after every 10 seconds. Also it is able to run applications like Google search and Google+ but it is designed in such a way that it remains natural, lighter in weight and stylish, for which developers are thinking of partnering with the leading glass manufacturing firms. Currently glasses are available for developers’ worth of $1500 USD and are expected in the market in the 4th quarter of 2013.

  • accelerometer- It is an instrument used for measuring the acceleration of a moving or vibrating body.
